Four different wake-up calls, three different departure times, three different airlines, three different routes with six different flights…but…eventually all of us arrived in Huntsville to start Space Camp!!!!
Whilst all chaperones reported the flights were very quiet, the excitement reached ignition and blast off when, on final approach, groups noticed the white and red rocket sticking up in the air, high enough to have many flashing warning lights.
We were meet by the Space Camp staff at the arrivals gates and they took over the organisation. Collected the bags, packed the buses, drove to Space Camp, dumped our bags, dinner, registration and the program for the nine One Giant Leap teams started before the participants went to bed. A very long day resulted in completed exhausted heads finally hitting their pillows.
