Ritsumeikan Junior and Senior High School, located in Nagaokakyo City, Kyoto, is a private co-educational institution established in 1905. Guided by the founding spirit of “freedom and innovation,” the school upholds an educational philosophy rooted in “peace and democracy,” as enshrined in the Japanese Constitution and the Fundamental Law of Education. The school respects each student’s individuality and strives to cultivate their potential to contribute meaningfully in the 21st century.

Designated as both a Super Science High School (SSH) and a Super Global High School (SGH) by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Ritsumeikan fosters high academic ability and encourages inquisitiveness through its dual focus on global and science education.
