Ambassador Emily

Emily Rozanc is the ‘Inaugural Student Ambassador’ for the One Giant Leap Australia Foundation. Assuming her position in 2017, Emily received a scholarship from the US Embassy to attend Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama later that year. She received her scholarship from Bob Carpenter (OAM) and Greg Chamitoff (NASA Astronaut). In 2018 she was awarded another scholarship to attend Space Camp from the One Giant Leap Foundation as a ‘youth leader’.

Her role as student ambassador has afforded her many opportunities to speak to students in the area of greater Western Sydney and such, inspire a new generation of individuals interested in STEM. She has moderated STEM panels and conferences, most recently the ‘OrbitOz: Women In STEM’ panel.

In accordance with her active role in One Giant Leap, Emily attended the prestigious Harry Messel International Science School (2019), where she was 1/3 scholars from 140 to receive an accolade. Emily received the Mulpha Award for International Leadership: for students who enhance the ISS experience, building rapport and helping all students from different nations to forge friendships and enjoy the program to the greatest possible extent.

Emily affords much of her confidence to the One Giant Leap Australia Foundation’s Space Camp program and additional opportunities. She has and continues to make life-long friendships and memories through their ongoing support.
